Hightide is a cult Japanese stationery brand based in the laid-back, sea-side city of Fukuoaka. Inspired by the Ocean, Hightide aims to encapsulate the feeling of emotional and spiritual fulfilment gained from taking pride in our daily life and work. The brand hopes to convey this feeling through the daily use of their stationery.
With their love of all things retro and analogue, Hightide and Penco produce some of our favourite Japanese stationery and lifestyle designs. The company was established in 1994 by two friends – a Japanese surfer and a design aficionado – who decided to start a company based on the importance of being fulfilled both spiritually and emotionally.
